Eyes that pierce the wilderness
On a broken dead tree, it claims its throne — a crowned hunter…

Spotted soaring in the skies of Nagarahole National Park, Karnataka, this Crested Hawk-Eagle (Nisaetus cirrhatus) commands attention with its sharp gaze and striking plumage. Known for its powerful flight and keen hunting skills, it is a master of the forests it rules from above.
Predominantly found in dense forests of India and Southeast Asia, the Crested Hawk-Eagle hunts small mammals, birds, and reptiles, using its incredible vision and stealth. Capturing this regal raptor in Nagarahole was a breathtaking reminder of the wild beauty thriving in India’s protected landscapes.
