For nearly 200 years British ruled our motherland, and we were considered just as slaves. From this oppression we fought and we received freedom from Britain.
But they left the seeds of religious hatred in our minds and that have now grown bigger and bigger.
One important aspect of India’s constitution is the fundamental rights included in the Constitution.
The Constitution was enshrined in the law to ensure citizens’ freedom of speech and freedom of action. But how much of that was fulfilled is of a question and to think!
India was a poor country when we got independence in 1947. With the help of Russia through the Five Year Plan we stepped into the developing world. By the end of the second five year plan the country entered industrialization. Industrialization was implemented in both public and private sector. It was such a new economic order, the mixed economy. Since the financial crisis that has occurred since 1947, we have been able to keep away from this much of the economic situation.
Now what is our situation, since from the last UPA government the speed of privatization is uncontrollable now. The Modi led BJP government has again fast tracked the process of privatization. The decision to allow 100% Foreign Direct Investment (FDI) in such strategic sectors of our economy like defence, railways, telecom, civil aviation, satellites, power, petroleum, mining, coal etc is nothing but anti national in character. This will not only adversely impact the functioning of the public sector undertakings (PSUs) in the concerned sector but also compromise our national interests including national security. It has already identified 74 (CPSUs) – including 26 for downright closure and 10 for strategic disinvestment. The government has appointed Reliance Mutual Fund Managers to provide consultancy and execute its project of quick selling 10 CPSUs strategic to our national economy, including ONGC, GAIL, Oil India Limited, Indian Oil Corporation, Coal India Limited, BHEL, Bharat Electronics Limited etc through the Exchange Traded Fund (ETF).
The greatest achievement of previous foreign relations was the idea of a policy of nonaligned. The country was able to create and maintain the atmosphere for peaceful development. But now what is the situation, we are moving away from the nonaligned policy and reaching to new friendships.
Since from the freedom Congress has been one of the major political parties who were in key roles in policy making. After the first generation of congressional leadership a new generation did not arise and also the dictatorship of the Nehru family came in, most importantly, most of their leaders were involved in big scams and all these leads to the decline of the Congress.
Now BJP is currently in power at the center, which is a political party backed with the Hindutva forces or Sanghaparivar. The nationality of Hindutva is Hindu communalism. Nationality cannot be merely with nationalism and patriotism.BJP is political party which is of no connection in the Indian independence movement or nationalist movements.
Their power has risen from the viciousness of the Congress.
The BJP came to power with the slogan of ‘Sab ka sath Sab ka Vikas’ but in practice, the government of the country has become ‘Poonjipati ka Sath Vanchiton ka Vinash’ (Support the capitalists, destroy the deprived). Do a Self-criticism and you will find where we stand now.
Modi government committed to eliminate manual scavenging, In fact, in the 2017-18 budget reduced allocation for the rehabilitation of manual scavengers to half – from 10 crore to 5crore.
There is no data on how many dry-latrines have been even discarded or dismantled to claim as part of Modi’s ‘Swatch Bharat’ program which is an utter failed project.
Casteism in India is still a big issue. Ensuring security, especially the prevention of atrocities against SCs & STs is worse than ever in the history of India.
In a secular country when the Modi government swept to power in May 2014 , it did so without a single Muslim or Christian MP among the 282 who won on the party’s ticket.
The Hindutva forces have been emboldened since the BJP came to power. The attitude of Hindutva politics is trying to control on what others should eat wear and act.
It’s also to be noted that the Prime Minister or it’s cabinet is not at all concerned about maintaining the democracy and secularism.
The instances of this contempt for democracy are several and unmistakable. The most obvious, of course, is the manner in which the government reduced almost 90% of all currency in circulation to worthless paper overnight. What we gain from it? Does it curb the counterfeit currencies or black money?
The manner in which Aadhar has been rammed down the throats of people is another example of this authoritarian attitude. Despite interim orders from courts that Aadhar cannot be made mandatory for welfare schemes, the government has simply gone ahead and implemented it.
Emerging of new euphemisms like: Gau Rucksacks; Ghar Wapsi; Anti-Romeo squad, etc. which is really disturbing the secular mind of India and causing a scary feel to the other side. 28 people were killed in the name Of Cow Protection.
Farmers’ suicides have continued unabated. The promise of providing remunerative prices to crops at least 50 percent more than the cost of production as per the Swaminathan Commission recommendation has been permanently belied.
We developed in Science but many of the politicians are trying to pull back us to the time of darkness by manipulating the scientific evidences with unproven stories.
Heard about our PMs Mega campaign ‘Sankalp se Siddhi’-Attainment through Resolve for the next five years, what about all the previous campaigns does that achieved?
We are still facing a massive internal security challenge as we are still struggling to bring peace to the states like Assam, Manipur, Nagaland, Bihar, Chattisgarh, and others. What improvement made in J&K situations?
Healthcare in Rural Areas, Malnutrition, Unemployment, etc. is still our big problems. We lost 72 children’s life because of negligence to improve the public sector Hospital conditions.
At the end of seventy years, India is in a crisis of uncertainty. Can we make the next 70 years better than the last 70?
Lets hope we all will live in harmony, with tolerance, with no discretion of caste creed, religion One India and togetherness.
I am proud to be an Indian and will always, Jai Hind !!
